8. Unusual Extraction Treatment
During everyday practice, we may encounter patients with a pathological condition,
such as congenital missing teeth or teeth with severe cavities. Whether to extract a good
tooth or a tooth with a pathological problem is still a dilemma in orthodontic diagnosis.
These lectures focus on clinical symptoms, such as extraction of the mandibular
anterior teeth, maxillary lateral incisors, canines, and central incisor. Also, indications of
maxillary and mandibular first molar extraction cases and precautions for treatment are provided.
